Centre Barks is not just a boarding kennels, but a luxury activity holiday centre for dogs.  

    The centre is set on our family farm, where our 250 pedigree dairy cows produce milk for our local dairy.  With 500 acres of land, our guests will have chance to explore the farm and surroundings - our walks take in fields and pastures, woodlands and a network of soft tracks for mud-free winter exercise.

     Our residents at the moment include over 300 pedigree Holstein cows and calves, hens, ducks and geese, four cats, Mitzi the horse and our own dog.....

BERTIE

Is a three year old Border Terrier.

We have always had a Border at the farm, we have pictures of  them dating back to 1928

Our Bernese Mountain Dog, Macy, was a Pets as Therapy Dog, visiting hospice patients in the North East.  The value of this work cannot be under estimated, offering a wonderful medium of communication between the dog and human.  Please click the icon to learn more about PAT animals and their work.

Came to live with us in November 2008.  She is 2 years old and full of energy and enthusiasm!
