HOME COMFORTS
We want our guests to relax and enjoy their holiday, so we have included lots of little extras each day to help them feel at home.....
All our rooms are individually decorated in calming and comforting colours, light and spacious with views of the garden through the fully glazed doors.
There are pictures and clocks on the wall, warm and cool areas of floor to lie on and a choice of comfy beds and bedding to sleep on.
All our rooms are large enough for up to 4 dogs from the same family to share. Our quietest room has been furnished with our smallest guests in mind, especially cosy and a bench to make sure they can see over the garden wall!
Does your dog sleep on the sofa at home? We can provide a luxury and large sofa or armchair for them to snuggle up in comfort.*
Freeview TV * is available, let us know our guests favourite programme so they don’t miss an episode...Music is also available at any time
Lots of chatting, petting and playing goes on throughout the day with frequent human visits when our guests are in their rooms or garden rooms.
Toys are available to play with in the rooms and garden rooms, with drinks always available, and during hot weather paddling pools will be provided in the garden rooms and ice lollies (special recipe!) for treats.
FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD!
For dogs who love routine, we endeavour to provide the same diet they usually have, to minimise stress; we cannot provide some specialist or prescription diets, please ask. We always have special treats for fussy eaters, and spend time with our guests at mealtimes to help them enjoy their food.
For an extra special temptation, we have home farmhouse cooking available with seasonal menus, prepared with fresh ingredients to special recipes.*
Treats are given every day, and a bedtime biscuit last thing at night. Our guest also love our
Home Baked Cookie Days! We bake special treats for our guests -
All our guests are weighed at check-
STRESS REDUCTION
Our rooms have been especially designed to provide peace and quiet for our dogs. Solid walls and acoustic ceilings minimise noise from other guests and whilst our guest rooms and part of the garden room is totally private, socialising at the bottom of the garden rooms is possible.
Our garden rooms have railings, there is no mesh.
All our rooms are equipped with a DAP (Dog Appeasing Pheromone) plug-
Stimulation is provided with toys to play with, great views of the garden to look out at, treats hidden in Kongs, lots of human contact, and most importantly, lots of company and exercise.
STAY IN TOUCH!
We like to take photos so you can share your dogs holiday so, with your permission, we’ll take a few holiday snaps whenever weather and activities allow.
It’s great to let everyone know how your holiday is going, so to keep in touch we can send texts or add photos of your dog’s activities via email.*
A holiday journal, with details of daily activities and lots of photos, is available at departure.**
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY...
We will take the utmost care of your dog during their stay, and will monitor their health and behaviour closely. However, if your dog should become ill during their stay, we provide insurance to cover vet fees.
Your own vet will always be called upon in the first instance, but in the event of an emergency our veterinary practice provides a comprehensive 24 hour service.
WEDDINGS...
If you are getting married locally, there is no need for your best friend to miss the big day!
We can bring them up to congratulate you and have some photos, before returning to Centre Barks for the rest of their holiday.
